Seeking a Living Kidney Donor

About Me

My name is Brian, and I’m a husband — newly wed — living in a season that should be filled with nothing but joy, building a life with the woman I love. This photo captures one of the happiest moments of my life. What it doesn’t show is the quiet reality I’ve carried for years, and the one I’m now facing again: I need a kidney to survive.

In my 20s, my kidneys failed without warning. I started peritoneal dialysis, and my Aunt Theresa — one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known — stepped forward and said, “Test me.” We were a match. In July 2003, she gave me her kidney, and with it, she gave me time, health, and the chance to live a full life. I honored that gift for more than 20 years. She’s doing wonderfully today, living an active, healthy life.

But after 21 years, even the strongest gift can grow tired. My transplanted kidney is failing simply because it has reached the end of its life. And now, once again, I’m living with end‑stage kidney disease. Dialysis keeps me going, but it cannot give me the future I’m fighting for — a future with my wife, my family, and the life we’re building together.

What I need now is a living kidney donor. Someone who feels that quiet tug in their heart — the one that whispers, you could be the one to help. Someone willing to give the gift of time, hope, and a second chance at life.

I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for someone healthy, open, and willing to learn what living donation truly means. Most donors go on to live full, normal lives with one kidney, and the screening process is confidential, safe, and without pressure.

If you’re here, reading this, thank you. It means more than you know. My hope is simple: that this page reaches the right person at the right moment, and that my story finds the heart it’s meant to reach.

If you feel called to explore becoming a donor — or even just want to ask questions — I’d be grateful to connect.
